## Description

PEPPOL Authorities \(PAs\) are government entities with a responsibility to facilitate eProcurement within their domain, serving as a "trust anchor" on behalf of OpenPEPPOL\. In domains/territories not covered by a PEPPOL Authority, OpenPEPPOL assumes the role of the PA directly\. Typically, a PA has responsibility for public sector-wide eProcurement governance, standardisation and implementation\.
