Description

Devon County Councils (DCC) conveyancing department are seeking to formalise the arranging and monitoring of numerous agreements that are requested by Developer's and land owners. These agreements include Section 38, Section 106, Section 278 agreements and a Deed of Easement in relation to a Section 38 Agreement. The volume of agreements during the 12-month period is expected to be between 100 and 200 although this may vary depending upon the workload of the department. DCC do not pay for any of the agreements as they are paid for by the developer or land owners. The critical element for DCC is that the applicable amount of VAT is paid on each invoice. This is monitored by requesting copies of all invoices for completed works being supplied to the conveyancing department on a regular basis to ensure that the authority is not liable for any outstanding duties in regard to the transactions completed.
