Provision of Individual Support and group based Short Breaks for Children and Young People with Disabilities

In order to meet the requirements outlined in the 'short break duty,' the council aims to ensure that disabled children and young people and their families will have access to the right short break to meet their needs in addition to those available as universal services via the local offer.

The council aims to tender for short break providers. Lot 1, Play and Leisure will be direct award following successful tender submission(s) and Lot 2, Personal Support will be run on a framework with a number of providers on a select list. The contracts, running from 1st October 2017 to 31st March 2019, will deliver short break services that meet the needs of children and young people with SEND and their families.
