GLD IT - Storage

GLD required two new HP 3Par flash storage arrays to replace two existing HP 3Par F400 arrays as Hewlett Packard no longer supported them from 30th November 2016.

These devices have been selected as they are compatible with the existing infrastructure. In the event other storage arrays also prove to be compatible these would be considered as well. As well as the arrays, GLD required two HP C7000 Brocade fibre channel switches to replace existing hardware or compatible equivalent. In addition to the hardware requirements, the GLD also required training on the new systems to cover the differences between the IMC and SMC. The service requirements for the new equipment include 3 year base support (3 year Foundation Care 24x7 Service) plus an uplift which is to include 3 year Custom DC for Add-On 3PAR SVC to allow this to be added to our current Datacentre Care Contract.
