Ambergate Recreation Ground Play Area Development

Amber Valley Borough Council presents an exciting opportunity to playground suppliers to develop an existing play area near the Market Town, Belper, transforming an aged old play area into a new and exciting play environment. The works have been identified in line with the borough council's play strategy to enhance play value, provide a range of play opportunities and encourage an enjoyable lengthy visit for all. The new play space shall be designed for children aged between 0-14 years with a naturalised, open feel and include a provision of steel play elements with associated grass mat safety surfaces complying to BS1176/77. Also required is the provision of one ball wall to incorporate a 5-a-side goal. Please see the additional attachments below for full details of the project. Additional information: UPDATE: 26.01.21 - Local Councillors are keen to promote the top three (or more) designs for external consultation. With this in mind the timescales have been amended as per the following: Return deadline: Remains the same (12 Noon, Friday 5th February 2021) Consultation and awarded by: Friday 5th March 2021 (4 Weeks) Completion Deadline: Friday:14th May (10 Weeks) Please submit a 3D illustration of your design for external consultation purposes.
