## Description

The National Security & Investment Act 2021 will come into force on 4 January 2022 and enhance the government's existing capabilities for examining and intervening to stop certain acquisitions that could harm the UK's national security\. The government will be able to impose certain conditions on an acquisition and, in rare instances, unwind or block an acquisition completely\. The Act is administered by the Investment Security Unit \(ISU\) within the Department\. This contract will provide the ISU with commercial data to support ongoing and future casework\.
