The Natural Environment Research Council, British Antarctic Survey have a requirement for a Containerised Multi Sensor Core Logging System. Construction has begun on the RRS Sir David Attenborough - one of the most advanced polar research vessels in the world. From 2018 scientists researching oceans, ice and atmosphere will have access to state-of-the-art facilities on this floating laboratory. The RRS Sir David Attenborough has a requirement for a 20ft ISO based containerised multi sensor core logging system. The container will provide a temperature controlled environment to ensure that the data is captured correctly whilst processing cores at sea. The core logging system must be able to operate at sea in challenging environmental conditions and rough seas. UK Shared Business Services eSourcing As part of the strategic alliance between UK Shared Business Services Ltd (UK SBS) and Crown Commercial Service (CCS), UK SBS can use the CCS eSourcing Suite for future procurements. This procurement will be managed electronically via the Crown Commercial Services e-Sourcing Suite. To participate in this procurement, participants shall first be registered on the e-Sourcing Suite. If Bidders have not yet registered on the portal this can be done online at https://gpsesourcing.cabinetoffice.gov.uk by following the 'Supplier e-Sourcing Registration'. Please note that to register Bidders must have a valid DUNS number for the organisation which you are registering. Once you have registered on the e-Sourcing Suite, a registered user can express an interest for a specific procurement. If you have not done this already please follow the guidance: This is done by emailing ExpressionOfInterest@crowncommercial.gov.uk. Your email must clearly state: the name and reference for the procurement you wish to register for; the name of the registered Bidder; and the name and contact details for the registered individual sending the email. Crown Commercial Service will process the email and then enable the Bidder to access the procurement online via the e-Sourcing Suite. The registered user will receive a notification email to alert them once this has been done. Once this has been completed, when you log into the CSS website, please follow the attached guidance notes which will show you how to find the tenders.
