Work description
A call-off from the Generation 4-ONE 2020 - 2024 Civil Engineering, Highways and Transportation Collaborative Framework (Awarded April 2020).
Install various sections of a new surface water drainage network, comprising pipes, manholes, ditches and headwalls and associated works. The purpose of the project is to provide a route for groundwater to flow during groundwater flood events, which occur in the winter approximately every 3-5 years. Works also include:
• Investigative works such as trial holes, where annotated on the drawings • Traffic management (see Section 4 of Scope) • Reinstatement of boundary features (hedgerows, fencing) • Root protection measures • Reinstatement of road construction / private accesses as specified • Reinstatement of grass as specified • Works will be conducted in coordination with simultaneous works carried out by a third-party contractor.
The third-party works will include: • Installing pipework where it crosses the A32 Road resurfacing • Road resurfacing
