Description
This survey links to the FSA Strategic Plan, through development of a robust evidence base to identify and contribute to addressing emerging risks for the future. Although antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is a global public health concern, relatively little is known about the role of the food chain in the transmission of AMR bacteria, including the prevalence of AMR bacteria in retail foods (both of animal and non-animal origin). Surveillance is essential in strengthening the evidence base around these areas
