Work description
The University of Sheffield's Department of Physics and Astronomy, with funding from EPSRC (Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council), require a tuneable optical parametric oscillator (OPO) (1200 - 1600 nm) which will be pumped by an existing femtosecond Ti:Sapphire (Ti:S) laser system. The OPO output will be used for optical spectroscopy of semiconductor-based photonic devices. The primary use of the OPO will be for time-resolved resonant and quasi-resonant spectroscopy of quantum dots emitting in telecom wavelength regions.
