## Description

The University of Sheffield's Department of Physics and Astronomy, with funding from EPSRC \(Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council\), require a tuneable optical parametric oscillator \(OPO\) \(1200 - 1600 nm\) which will be pumped by an existing femtosecond Ti:Sapphire \(Ti:S\) laser system\. The OPO output will be used for optical spectroscopy of semiconductor-based photonic devices\. The primary use of the OPO will be for time-resolved resonant and quasi-resonant spectroscopy of quantum dots emitting in telecom wavelength regions\. This is an open exercise\.
