Winter Station Maintenance and Data Management

The Councils, namely City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council, Leeds City Council, Kirklees Council, Wakefield Metropolitan District Council and Calderdale Council have clear responsibilities to maintain their highway network in a safe condition and to achieve this, during winter, use a number of specialised services and equipment that require a high degree of reliability. The Contractor is to exercise proper control over the quality of service through his supervision. The Contractor is, in addition to his supervision during the work, to provide regular checks on all services and equipment as specified. Nothing in this specification nor omission from it shall be construed as relieving the Contractor of his duty to carry out all work in a proper manner in accordance with good working practices. Bidders should note that North Yorkshire County Council and City of York Council may join the Contract at the end of the first, second or third year if the option to extend the contract is pursued.
