Grounds Maintenance Mapping tender

The Selwood Housing Group (Selwood Housing) is a group of companies that work toward the collective goal of improving homes and communities.

Selwood Housing wishes to engage an organisation to carry out a mapping exercise in accordance with our specification to provide accurate scaled drawings of all areas of land, hard standing, roads, footpaths, grass, borders, shrub beds, hedges and planted areas within its area of responsibility. The information provided from this exercise with be utilised during the tendering process for our grounds maintenance contract.

Presently Selwood Housing’s mapping information is stored on LSVT hard copy OS maps and site plans from recent developments. This information requires updating. Ultimately the intention is to upload the mapping information onto a layered GIS mapping system, potentially ESRI ARC version 10.

The chosen contractor will be required to accurately undertake a topographic survey at each site on Selwood Housing’s property schedule in order to produce the required plans. They will be required to accurately map all of Selwood Housing’s areas of grounds maintenance which will include but is not limited to grassed areas, hedges, trees, roads and footpaths, shrub beds, borders and planted areas.

Selwood Housing intend to hold a Contractor Briefing session which will give further information about this opportunity. Potential tenderers are encouraged to attend this briefing from 9 am on 4th May, when there will be presentations from Selwood regarding our objectives and requirements from this process, and an opportunity to ask questions regarding any aspect of the procurement. At this meeting there will be an open discussion regarding our requirements, a good understanding of which will benefit tenderers.

Tenderers are invited to arrive by 9am and the briefing will commence at 9.15 am at Selwood’s offices in Trowbridge at: Bryer Ash Business Park Bradford Road Trowbridge Wiltshire BA14 8RT
