Work description
Basildon Borough Council is seeking a contract for Recycling/processing of Mixed Paper and Cardboard materials. The Council requires circa 11,700 tonnes pa to be recycled per year. This figure is based on WRAP modelling assumptions and is only indicative.
The Mixed Paper and Cardboard materials originate from domestic properties within the Borough of Basildon. Some material will likely originate from commercial properties in the near future as the Council develops their trade waste recycling service. Material is loose and not with sacks or bales. Material is collected 5 days per week and on Saturdays after Bank Holidays.
Material will be housed within a building and expect material provided to be a consistent source of dry mixed paper & cardboard, i.e. typically circa 10% under normal atmospheric conditions. Material will be transported to your facility by a third party contractor which is TBD.
