Contract for provision of Direct Production harvesting of Hardwoods on the Delamere Beat.

The Forestry Commission has awarded for the provision of direction production harvesting on the Delamere beat. The work will take place along the various main highways that run through the Forest and it is expected that the work will require close working with traffic management companies and a range of systems of felling to deal with a range of different circumstances. All timber will be extracted to roadside and stacked for sale, where possible logs should be cut and presented in random lengths for auction. It is expected that the work will take approximately 30 days.
