The Supply, Delivery, Installation and Maintenance of a Multi-Colour Flow Cytometer Reference: 0068-DST

Description

This contract is based on the tender issued by MDC for the Supply, Delivery, Installation and Maintenance of a Multi-Colour Flow Cytometer. MDC is looking to set up a research flow cytometry capability to provide the UK SME community access to advanced target engagement/validation and biomarkers strategies. MDC therefore require a benchtop flow cytometer instrument that will enable MDC to analyse and phenotype mixed populations of cells. The procurement process was designed to explore and evaluate each bidder's relevant experience, competency, and ability to deliver against the MDC's specified requirements.  The tender assessed a potential supplier's quality and cost, quality had the weighted score of 70%, and cost had a weighted score of 30% The Tenderer who has passed all the Pass / Fail criteria and has achieved the highest total weighted score and considered the "most economically advantageous Tender" has been awarded the Contract. The tender submissions were evaluated by the evaluation team. The contract for the provision of a Multi-Colour Flow Cytometer awarded to Agilent Technologies LDA UK. Ltd. The installation is expected in May 2021, once installed to the satisfaction of MDC a one-year warranty will commence. At the end of the one-year warranty a three (3) year maintenance agreement will commence.
