Description

NHS Arden and Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit (NHS Arden and GEM CSU) on behalf of NHS Hardwick Clinical Commissioning Group (HCCG) acting as Lead Commissioner on behalf of the Derbyshire Clinical Commissioning Groups (including Erewash, Southern Derbyshire and North Derbyshire CCG's) invited Bidders from suitably qualified providers to deliver Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit Beds for Derbyshire CCG registered patients. Previously Derbyshire CCG's did not commission PICU provision within Derbyshire, instead they commissioned an Enhanced Care Ward with DHcFT. Today, where a PICU bed is needed, this was currently purchased primarily through private sector providers. The key aims and objectives identified by the Commissioners were to provide gender specific PICU services in or near Derbyshire, potentially in conjunction with other Regional CCG Commissioners. This opportunity was divided into Lots: Lot 1 was for the provision of 5 Male beds. The Contract Value for this service Lot 1 male beds only, is circa 1 962 000 GBP (excluding VAT) for the initial 2 year term of this contract, with the 12 month optional extension for year 3. The maximum envelop over 3 years is circa 2 943 000 GBP, but is not guaranteed. Lot 2 was for the provision of 4 Female beds. The contract Value for Lot 2 female beds only, is circa 1 570 000 GBP. (excluding VAT) for the initial 2 year term of this contract, with the 12 month optional extension for year 3. The maximum envelop over 3 years is circa 2 355 000 GBP, but is not guaranteed.
