FM20071 - Environmental Monitoring System Maintenance & Support Contract

UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) had a requirement for an Environmental Monitoring System maintenance and support contract. The contract is in place for a 3 year period.

The current Environmental Monitoring System was designed and developed by Acquisition Systems Ltd therefore any maintenance or software updates necessary to maintain the system need to be carried out by the same supplier. No other supplier can communicate and carry out the calibration of the system. As a result Regulation 32(2)(b)(ii) of the Public Contract Regulations 2015 (as amended) was followed and the Contracting Authority awarded a Contract by negotiated procedure without prior publication.
