Description
The Department for Transport (DfT) wishes to establish a contract with the Behavioural Insights Team (BIT) to oversee a project to research, develop and roll-out experimental tools for addressing common behavioural biases/heuristics in judgement and decision making in project management. The project is being commissioned by DfT’s Governance Division and the Social and Behavioural Research (SBR) team. The project will: 1) Develop an evidence base on the availability of behavioural biases/heuristics in judgement and decision making in respect of project management. 2) Check how current departmental processes and systems are designed to assess the availability of behavioural biases/heuristics in judgements and decision making in relation to DfT project management and assurance. 3) Develop potential tools to help manage and reduce behavioural biases/heuristics in judgements and decision making in project management and assurance. 4) Develop a framework for evaluating the effectiveness of the tools
