Trauma Awareness Training

The Council invites quotations for the design and provision of a Trauma Training programme

Training programme development • Develop a bespoke trauma informed training module for Croydon Council in line with this specification and Croydon's trauma informed training guide, which will be the property of the Council following the completion of the programme

The training should cover: • Understanding the impact of single and complex trauma • Understanding prevalence and over-representation in some services and communities • Recognising adversity risks and harm • Responding to hearing about abuse and trauma • Spotting signs of current or ongoing trauma and understand risks of re-traumatisation • Understanding that people affected by trauma can build own strengths and resources • Recognising and responding to individual needs • Understanding that people affected by past trauma commonly have interpersonal difficulties • Understanding the importance and role of a trusted adult for children • Understanding the different types of support available in the Borough of Croydon
