Smart Motorway Programme NEC Supervisor Services

Highways England is proposing to set up a contract for the provision of specialist services to administer the role of the Engineering & Construction Contract (ECC) Supervisor across various projects within the Smart Motorways Programme. This service is to fulfil the ECC Supervisor role and function, providing quality assurance of the design and physical works to ensure compliance with the Works Information. The Supplier will provide a risk based assurance plan integrated with the Contractor's quality management plan. Where a separate Designer is appointed, the Supplier will provide a risk based assurance plan integrated with the Designer's Site Representatives quality management plan. The objective is to deliver an efficient, risk based, outcome focussed service that provides a consistently high standard of quality control to enable not only the Design, Construction, Commissioning & Handover, but also future operation of Smart Motorways to be achieved in an effective and efficient manner.
