Work description

Watford Borough Council is seeking to appoint a psychotherapist to work with single homeless individuals with complex needs who are either accommodated and supported in the borough or are rough sleeping. This is a new service being developed within the town aimed at tackling trauma that has led to complex needs (including substance misuse and mental health) and recurrent homelessness. It is one of several strands of activity which aims to enable single people affected by recurrent homelessness to take better control of their lives and obtain the support they need to help stay off the streets and look forward to a stable and independent life. Single homeless individuals are assisted through a multi-agency, multi-disciplinary Single Homeless Pathway operating within the town comprising the council and partner accommodation and support agencies. This project is funded by the government's Rough Sleeper Initiative 2022-25.

This service is to be delivered by the provider on the Council's own Service Terms and Conditions.

The Council requires the Contractor to

-Support up to 20 individuals during the 12 month contract -Provide up to 12 sessions of psychotherapy per individual, some delivered on a weekly basis and some on a monthly basis. -Provide regular reports to the council on the progress of individuals supported through this project
