Tender for the Provision of Security Services

In September 2017 Newark & Sherwood District Council will re-locate to new build Offices & Civic Suite close to Newark town centre. A number of partners have committed to co-locate to the new offices including the DWP. In preparation for the move the Council is seeking to appoint a suitably competent and qualified provider of security services to primarily manage the safety and security of public areas within the new building and the external perimeter during business hours. The security staff will be known as Customer Support Assistants and will provide a proactive presence in all public facing areas including providing a positive initial reception to clients, directional guidance and information on relevant Council policies. Companies with a demonstrable track record of providing security staff with experience of operating in similar customer-focused 'front-of-house' environments are invited to apply. The Contract is for a period of 3 years with the option of two annual extensions, subject at all times to satisfactory on-going performance. This Procurement will adhere to the regulations pertaining to the 'Light Touch Regime' as set out in Section 7 of The Public Contract Regulations 2015.
