The purpose of this notice is to notify the market of likely forthcoming procurement activity relating to a review of the Level 3 early years qualifications criteria\. This notice is associated with the Early Years Recovery Programme, Strand 3: a review of the Level 3 qualifications criteria, leading towards a reformed, evidence-based L3 qualification\. Rationale for conducting the Level 3 review: - The early years educator \(EYE\) Level 3 qualification criteria was last updated in 2014\. The sector has told us that it needs updating\. - In 2019, 80% of staff in Private, Voluntary and Independent \(PVI\) settings were qualified to at least a Level 3\. Updating and improving the criteria will have a significant impact on the sector as we look to improve the quality of early years education\.
