BIG001-1045 Research to develop our understanding of what enables communities to thrive

BUSINESS AIMS 1) Synthesise the existing evidence we could use to support people and communities to thrive 2) Identify the gaps in evidence we could/should fill.

2.5.2 Research Objectives

1. To understand what factors contribute to a 'thriving community' (and in different contexts).These should take the structure of the conceptual model (e.g. People-led, Places and spaces, Relationships and Connections, Individual Wellbeing and Resilience). 1 To understand the conditions for success for each of the contributing factors. For example - do some need to happen first in order for others to have greater chance of success? 2 To understand any overlap / connection between the factors and/or conditions for success identified in 1 and 2 above. 3 Make recommendations for how best to measure the factors and conditions for success (e.g. publically available data, monitoring data). 4 Based on learning from the previous objectives, identify gaps in the evidence or further research questions that arise, which the Fund should seek to address.
