## Description

The Common Provision Regulations for the European Social Fund state that two evaluations of the Youth Employment Initiative \(YEI\) in order to meet the requirements of the programme must be carried out\. The first evaluation, on the strategic fit, design and implementation of YEI in England, was completed in 2016\. The second evaluation must be reported to the European Commission by the end of 2018\. The evaluation being commissioned \(the second evaluation\) will provide information about the effectiveness, efficiency and impact of YEI\.
