CP1322-16b Fixed Line Voice and Data Services

DCC has developed an ICT Roadmap covering 2015 - 2017 which supports the strategic aims and the need for staff to work in a more mobile and flexible way(s). DCC is therefore looking for organisations to work with us in partnership to deliver aspects of the roadmap.

Devon County Council (DCC) operates an internal voice/telephone network which comprises 14 Unify Realitis DX TDM PABXs and a Unify dual node OpenScape Voice VOIP platform. These are linked together via proprietary SIP Trunking running across a managed service MPLS network.

The network hosts about 7,000 extensions, spread across approximately 40 sites. Most extensions have an associated DDI number for incoming calls. These DDI services enter the network via DASS at County Hall in Exeter (Central site) and through the SIP service at Taw View in Barnstaple. Alternative routing is employed internally if the network is congested or down, so that calls will take an alternate route to their destination

Additional information: The Contract will be for an initial term of three (3) years with an option to extend the Contract for any period up to a further three (3) twenty four (24) months periods at the sole discretion of Devon County Council. The Estimated value of this contract is based on the initial three (3) period.
