ESPH AB Provision of Road Construction ( and Associated Infrastructure) Works at Blackfriars, Battle (ESPH386 TI) - AWARD

Rother District Council ('the Authority') sought a suitably qualified and experienced Contractor to deliver a spine road to serve a residential development in Battle, East Sussex The Blackfriars site in Battle has been identified in the Council's local planning documents and Corporate Plan as a site for residential development for many years. The site is approximately 16 hectares (40 acres) in size, though only around 7 hectares are considered suitable for development. Past attempts to develop the site as a whole have been unsuccessful, principally due to complex topography and ground conditions. Development of this site is predicated on the delivery of a new spine road, traversing the site from north to south which would facilitate residential development.
