Network Upgrade - IST Lot 1

Description

The procurement process framework RM1045 will be used. Spend approval is being sort through Cabinet Office. The purpose of the network project is to create a simple network at each site that shares the same design principles across the DfT estate to remove the existing complexity and differing technology.This will enable the best digital experience for both employees and customers, be a hub of excellence and speed up the adoption of technologies that enable better policy development and delivery. The sought outcome is to increase reliability through innovation and find where technology can enable delivery of business objectives, digitising core processes to simplify ways of working and to drive collaboration and cross-team working. This project is an enabling project; to implement a network capable of supporting the new agile ways of working by providing a fast, wireless, secure network to connect DfT sites directly to DfT cloud services.
