Work description
This project will see the complete repair and refurbishment of the Kenwood House Stable Block (Grade II listed), to provide a mix of staff and commercially let apartments. The building is located in Hampstead, North London, within the Kenwood House Estate (Grade I listed). The building is currently in a poor state of repair; however, it already functions as a residential property, having been subdivided for this purpose in the 1930s.
The works will comprise: o Repairs to slate roofs and lead flashings; o Repointing and other minor masonry works; o Repair and Redecoration of Timber and Crittal windows; o Replacement of existing drainage system; o Replacement of all internal services (including ICT and fire systems); o Alterations and Refurbishment; o Some traditional trades (predominantly lime plaster work, timber repair repointing and roof repairs); o Asbestos removal; and o Minor hard and soft landscaping works.
