53/505 Beesands (North) Rock Revetment Recovery and Remedial Works

South Hams District Council (SHDC) is seeking to appoint a Principal Contractor with whom they can work closely with to both drive forward and implement the urgently required coastal remedial works at Beesands, Devon. The primary objective of the works is to maintain and where possible improve the level of protection provided to the village green from coastal erosion and as such to extend the life of the protection being afforded to the houses located further inland. Whilst the condition of the existing rock revetment defence is an ever changing one SHDC anticipates that any remedial works are likely to consist of; rock armour recovery, rock armour replacement and the installation of further erosion protection measures
