Description
WLWA has tendered on behalf of the London Borough of Ealing with the MRF Contract commencing 6th June 2020. The Contractor will be responsible for the reception and processing of Contract Material and the marketing and transfer of Recyclable Materials to reprocessors. The collection of the Contract Material and delivery to the processing facility is not covered by this Contract. The Contract will be between WLWA and the Contractor only, with WLWA acting on behalf of the boroughs. WLWA have identified a consistent core of materials that Ealing collects which includes paper, cardboard, metal cans, glass bottles and jars and plastics. The Contract Material must be priced based on the Pricing Schedule and should include all handling and sorting of materials. The Operating cost will be subject to inflation on an annual basis. The revenue generated through the sale of materials will be based on actual rates achieved and will be subject to a minimum WLWA share of 95% of the value of the materials. The Contract Materials will be loaded at designated bulking facilities (transfer stations) ready for transport to the designated MRF for processing. Bulking activities remain the responsibility of the boroughs and transport falls outside of this Contract.
