Hydrogen in the UK has huge potential, linked to offshore wind capacity. It is expected that exports of green hydrogen generated by offshore wind could be as much as £48 billion per year, gross value added to the economy of approximately £200 billion and as many as 120,000 jobs. With the ability to produce green hydrogen, it would make sense to use this generated fuel for the maritime industry.
