Core Non-Emergency Patient Transport Service

Description

The provision of core Non-Emergency Patient Transport Services (NEPTS), covering renal, planned outpatients and on the day bookings (excluding mental health and secure and high dependency NEPTS), to King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. Additional information: As a result of the incumbent patient transport provider ceasing trade and entering administration, the Trust has had to accelerate commercial discussions and to award this contract as a direct award compliantly under the East of England - Transportation: Patients and Specialist Courier Services - OJEU Reference: 2020/S 220 under Lot 1a - continuation of services, protect patient safety and preserve public funds. Further to this Contract Award, KCH are currently in the process of gathering requirements and market intelligence and will issue a prior information notice in due course for the re-procurement of a longer term solution.
