Vehicle Telematics

Description

Vehicle tracking devices provide information on driver behaviours including idling, speeding and usage. The use of these telematics continues to provide an opportunity to challenge the way we currently use the Councils assets and help us develop a more strategic approach in how best to utilise our assets more effectively by monitoring vehicle usage and driver behaviour. Aside from the financial benefits of monitoring fleet usage and driver behaviour, the information will contribute to the Council's ability to meet targets identified in the Climate and Ecological Emergency Strategy, to become carbon neutral by 2040.
