Falls (Strength and Balance) Service

Description

The Falls (Strength and Balance Service) is commissioned using funding from the Better Care Fund from Essex County Council on their behalf. West Essex CCG commissioned Epping Forest District Council (EFDC) directly to deliver this service. The service delivers falls rehabilitation and physiotherapy services to the West Essex population and compliments the physiotherapy service which is still commissioned separately by West Essex CCG. A new 12-month contract is being awarded to Epping Forest District Council to continue delivery of the service whilst Essex County Council and West Essex CCG colleagues define and deliver the proposals for the new services from 1st April 2023. This will ensure continuity of services for our patient populations whilst that process takes place.
