HIV Advice and Support Service

Local Authority, NHSE and ICB commissioners are responsible for commissioning sexual health services and work collaboratively to map service user pathways and plan services according to population need. Services delivered by primary care, third sector and community-based organisations form an essential part of any local sexual health system. Specialised HIV treatment services are part of a care pathway that includes services beyond the scope of this specification and which sit outside Knowsley Council's commissioning responsibilities.
