## Description

Tower Hamlets Council \(the Council\) is seeking tenders for training and consultancy support in two specialist areas of work for the benefit of Tower Hamlets businesses\. These two areas of work are: ? support for increasing the marketing capacity of retail businesses; and ? support for businesses in any sector to be able to supply goods and services through contracts which have been the subject of a procurement exercise\. What activity in these two areas of work has in common is that success on the part of the businesses supported will increase turnover\. This in turn will tend to improve business prospects and lead to beneficial effects generally in the local economy\. These two areas of work are however the subject of two separate initiatives run by Tower Hamlets Council: respectively the ?Retail Marketing? Initiative and the ?Supply Tower Hamlets? initiative\. Looking at support for retail marketing in isolation, there are two aspects to the support work required, as follows: ? consultancy support for retail business marketing; and ? provision of an online platform to support the marketing activities of retailers which receive consultancy support\. There are therefore three areas of work, each of which is the subject of a different lot, as follows: ? LOT 1 - Provision of Retail Marketing Consultancy Support \(part of the Retail Marketing initiative\) ? LOT 2 - Provision of Retailers Online Marketing Platform \(part of the Retail Marketing initiative\) ? LOT 3 - Provision of Tendering Support \(the Supply Tower Hamlets initiative\) Additional information: The Council is committed to improving the quality of life for both residents and businesses within Tower Hamlets\. In line with The Public Services \(Social Value\) Act 2012 the authority will consider how this procurement might improve the economic, social and environmental well-being of the relevant area\. In order to achieve this, it is our objective to work with existing and future contractors to secure an appropriate level of community benefits through the procurement process\. Detailed guidance and minimum levels of the economic and community benefit applicable to this tender will be available within the tender documentation\. The anticipated contract start date is: Monday, 04 July 2016 The estimated value of the contract is: ??1,389,950\.00 Total Cost For a period of: 33 Months\. Organisations wishing to express their interest are requested to register on the London Tenders Portal \(www\.londontenders\.org\) where the tender documentation will be available for download\.
