The Cellular Pathology Department at the Royal Gwent Hospital, Newport are looking to procure an Embedding Centre for their laboratory. The specifications for the embedding centre are: • Must have an integrated timer, separately programmable for embedding console and chiller plate on and off times over a 7 day period • Wax flow rate to be adjustable • Cooling plate to cover the range -10°C to 0°C and temperature to be controllable • Paraffin, work areas and thermal chambers to cover the range 50°C to 70°C and temperature to be controllable • Thermally insulated work area for wrist and forearms • Separate cold spot • Illumination to work area • Heated forcep wells • Storage for embedding molds
