Work description
This order represents the minimum stock required level needed to fulfil our statutory obligation for our notifiable Avian disease response . In the event of an outbreak, APHA need to have a suitably-sized contingency stock available. These kits are also used for international trade testing. The large number of kits held in contingency is due to the lead time for ordering new Kits. These are manufactured in Germany and the lead time is 7 weeks. Therefore, in the event of an outbreak we need to have enough stock to respond immediately and thoroughly.
