Work description

CITB requires an External Evaluator who can evaluate commissioned projects that are currently live under the theme of Retention of New Entrants. There are two projects under this theme valued at approximately £230,000 . One project is based in England, the other in Wales. The main outcome that this commission is trying to achieve is to improve the retention rates of new entrants into the construction industry. 'New entrants' are defined as individuals who have joined the industry within the last two years, and includes trainees and apprentices.

CITB's aim in working with an External Evaluator is (1) to be able to assess the direct and indirect impact of each completed project for all beneficiaries and stakeholders, (2) to understand the counterfactual impact of the commission, i.e. what might have happened if the funding had not been available and what additionality did the funding provide, and (3) to determine whether the outcomes of the commission have been achieved.

Additional information: Successful applicants will be invited to a Interview which will be on Friday 7th December at CITB, Carthusian Court, London, EC1M 6EZ. Applicants are asked to keep this date available.

The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.
