Work description

This contract is to undertake the twelve monthly inspection of hot and cold water services, the routine inspection, testing cleaning of thermostatic mixing valve (TMV) installations (where present) and twice yearly testing of store drinking water (where present) in approximately 271 premises (information is correct as at 1st November 2019 and subject to utilisation) within the Devon County Council (DCC) estate. Please note DCC has a property rationalisation strategy where by the number of its premises will reduce to some extent over time. The STC typically but not exclusively covers: • Offices • Social Care Units • Children's Centres • Other Corporate Buildings • Schools who subscribe to the Devon Maintenance Partnership The following organisations who currently uses the contract and may or may not use this arrangement for all or part of its duration: • Academies who subscribe to the Devon Academies Maintenance Agreement operated by NPS SW Ltd • Libraries within Devon managed by Libraries Unlimited South West Ltd • Youth Centres and other youth facilities within Devon operated by DYS Space Ltd The stated estimated contract value takes acounts of the likely inspection and servicing costs and allows scope for a significant volume of remedial works which may or may not arise on an unplanned basis for the initial four year period and up to four years of extension (8 years in total).
