1.1 Highways England's Environment Group (EG) provides specialist technical guidance and operational support across the company's various Directorates, ensuring that we have appropriate governance procedures, and robustly assess and manage our environmental risks. To do this we also work closely with a wide range of external stakeholders such as Defra, Department for Transport, Natural England, Historic England, Environment Agency, Local Authorities and national and international committees.
