Work description
Adult Safeguarding is a statutory function which has been commissioned out by the North East Lincolnshire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) on behalf of the Authority to focus CIC.
Access to adult social care including safeguarding is through a single point of access (SPA) which operates as a front door. The SPA contains adult social care practitioners including a member of the Safeguarding Adults Team (SAT).
It operates a telephone referral system which logs and triages all contacts. A computerised system is utilised to log concerns on individuals social care records. These records also document the actions taken by the SAT during the Sec 42 enquiry until closure.
Focus CIC Safeguarding Adults Team is a small team of practitioners managed by the Head of Safeguarding. The Director of Adult Social Services is commissioning a whole system review of the safeguarding practice within North East Lincolnshire.
