## Description

Birmingham City Council requires a supplier for the provision of the collection of attendance data for Children in Care \(CiC\)\. Birmingham Virtual School \(Children In Care education Service- CiCES\) support over 1860 Children In Care in their educational settings\. These children range from Early Years to Post 16 and have been in care for a varying amount of time\. The Birmingham Virtual School has three teams working alongside educational settings across Birmingham and in other local authorities\. In general there are around 65% of the cohorts within the city\. The teams work closely with other services including Social Workers, Independent Review Officers, Educational Psychologists, Care Leavers Service, early Years Team as well as Designated Teachers\. All Virtual School staff has a 'class list' of children across the full age range\. The focus for the Virtual School is to improve the life chances of all the Children in Care\. This is about ensuring the young people are attending, engaged with and succeeding in education in order that they can become independent and successful adults\. The three teams in the Virtual School: North and Central - Based at New Aston house East - Based at Sutton New Road, South - Based at Lifford House BCC will be using its e-tendering system \(in-tend\) for the administration of this procurement process and providers must register with the system to be able to express an interest\.
