Roofing upgrades and repairs programme to council dwellings

Description

The council has a need within its housing stock for replacing existing roofs that have deteriorated due to age and condition. The works include the removal and disposal of existing roofing tiles felt and battens, and the renewal of the same to include improvements to the insulation in new materials to meet current building regulations. The contract was sourced via Eastern Procurement Limited (EPL) framework for re-roofing. EPL are a not-for-profit organisation offering specialist compliant framework agreements, social landlords and other public sector bodies, predominantly in the Eastern region. Folllowing an evaluation of the re-roofing framework by EPL, a direct award was made to the first placed supplier on the evaluation. The award was approved by Cabinet in April 2021.
