ENPA0008-12 Repair and Improvement Works Valley of Rocks Picnic Site

Description

The picnic site is owned by Exmoor National Park Authority and is located at the eastern end of the Valley of Rocks, consisting of a single asphalt track accessed by two vehicular entrances and with crushed stone parking bays and a large central grass area. The sealed surfaces are in poor condition. The works are to repair the surfaces, widen the sealed surface track in places and create additional parking bays to bring the picnic site up to a good standard for users. The Works shall include clearance of existing items, excavation, asphalt and crushed stone surfacing (both new and resurfacing of existing), formation of earth bunds, placing of demarcation boulders and turfing.
