Work description
Norfolk County Council own a number of farms (the County Farm Estate). They cover an area of 16,795 acres of farmland across the County and are let to 136 tenants (95 farm tenants). The Estate is managed by a dedicated team at County Hall.
A Norfolk County Council tenant farmer requires a barn for storing grain. An existing barn requires refurbishment and extension to bring it up to a suitable standard for this role.
Norfolk County Council requires a contractor to deliver the refurbishment and extension of an existing steel framed barn ensuring that it is suitable for the storage of grain. The works will include drainage, push walls, canopy/lean to, concrete pads and any required repairs to the barn. Discharge approval is pending. Full details of the requirement can be found in the Annexes to the tender pack, which show and describe the work to be done. These form a Schedule to the Terms and Conditions.
