EKFB JV - Mechanical & Electrical Works for Green Tunnel Portal Building Electrical Heating System Package

EKFB is proud to have been appointed by HS2 to deliver civil engineering works across an 80km section of the new high speed rail link between the Chiltern Tunnel and Long Itchington Wood. Our scope of the works includes 15 viaducts, 5 km of green tunnels, 22km of road diversions, 81 bridges and around 30 million cubic metres of excavation.

EKFB are looking for a competent contractor to provide the electrical heating system.

Scope includes: heating requirements for rooms, air tempering for the ventilation system, and freeze protection for exposed water pipes. The Rooms heating system is designed to maintain room temperatures to provide frost protection and reduce condensation risks. During winter conditions, the system will temper outside air to avoid condensation within the equipment and rooms, meeting the required supply air flow design temperature conditions. Water pipes exposed to ambient temperatures or buried shallow underground (less than one meter) will be heat traced to prevent freezing.
