## Description

The Road Freight Statistical Team in the Transport carries out three mandatory surveys \(under the Statistics Trade Act 1947\) of UK registered haulers operating in the UK and internationally regarding the freight they carry: - The continuing Survey of Road Goods Transport Great Britain - The continuing Survey of Road Goods Transport Northern Ireland -The International Road Haulage Survey\. These surveys are used to inform UK government and EU policy and also consultants, academics and members of the public\.
